Beth Duff Winter Release Blog Hop 2018

Beth Duff Designs - Winter Release Blog Hop 2018
                           Guest Designer - Aimee Phillips

Hello and Welcome to my blog post for the newly
Beth Duff Designs - Winter Release Stamp Sets.
I was honored to be able to be a Guest Designer for this release.
I hope you like what I created using her amazing designs.

For my first card I decided to use the "Timber" Stamp Set
                               which can be found here:
                  https://duffsdesign.com/products/timber

For the card I put the lumberjack on white cardstock and colored with my Zig Clean Color Brush Markers.
Once done coloring I cut him out and put him onto
my red cardstock base.
I decided I would use the words included in the stamp set
and instead of leaving them together I would simply
cut the apart and put on both sides of the lumberjack.
I thought this might be cute for a "just because" card,
a Valentines Day card, or maybe an Anniversary Card.

------------------------------------------

For my next project using the lumberjack stamp set
I decided to create a birthday tag.

For my tag I used light blue card stock and traced out the
size of my tag and cut it out.
I then ran the card stock through an embossing folder
that I had with clouds for a background.
I used the "Happy Birthday Wild Man" stamp
as a sort of banner behind him.
I took some green card stock and cut to make grass,
and added the saw around the hole of the tag
for some added interest.
I used some fun foam to pop up the "Timber" lumberjack.

https://duffsdesign.com/products/timber

-----------------------------------------------

For my third project I chose to use the "Let's Get Lit"
Stamp Set. This is also an adorable stamp set.

Up first is the tag that I created.

For my tag I used the Reindeer and the Tree from
this stamp set. The stamp set has lots of fun additional stamps.
I colored up the tree and the reindeer.
I also used the same clouds embossing folder for the
background of the tag, as well as cut green paper
to resemble grass.
Used fun foam to pop up the reindeer to put him in front
of the tree.
And lastly stamped the "Merry Christmas" and created
a sort of banner above the top.

---------------------------------------------------

For my Fourth project showcasing the new
Winter Releases by Beth Duff Designs
I made a card using this adorable "Let's Get Lit" Stamp Set
which can be found here:

https://duffsdesign.com/collections/new-products/products/lets-get-lit

Here is my card I created using the "Get Lit" stamp set
by Beth Duff Designs.
I used a red card stock for base, and used the clouds
embossing folder for the background of the image.
I colored the tree and reindeer using Zig Markers.
And finally added the "Let's Get Lit" stamp matted with
black card stock at the top of the card.
I think this reindeer is adorable - I made mine
"Rudolph" with the red nose.

------------------------------------------------

And for my last two designs showcasing
Beth Duff Designs Winter Releases
I wanted to combine both of the stamp sets to
make a cute card and gift tag.

For the card I thought this could be cute
for Valentines Day, Anniversary, proposing...etc.

For my card I used a snowflake embossing folder for the
background of the card.
I colored up one of the trees, the lumberjack, and the reindeer
using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
I put the tree and reindeer flat against the card background,
and used some fun foam to pop up the lumberjack.
I thought the sentiment "Wood You Be Mine"
was perfect for this card.

--------------------------------

And lastly here is my adorable tag I made using both
the "Let's Get Lit" stamp set and the "Timber" stamp set.

I really had a lot of fun creating these using the
new Winter Releases.
I want to thank Beth Duff from the bottom of my heart
for allowing me the opportunity to be a
"Guest Designer" for Beth Duff Designs.
I would welcome the opportunity again anytime!!.

For those who do not know I deal with panic and anxiety,
and creating cards and tags etc. using stamps helps me a lot.
Coloring is therapeutic.

I hope you totally enjoyed what I created for this
Beth Duff Designs Winter Release.

Happy creating!!.

Unity Stamp Company Blog Hop - October 14, 2018

Unity Stamp Company
Blog Hop

Aimee's Stamping Adventures
October 14, 2018

Hello all, and welcome to my blog post for the
Unity Stamp Company Blog Hop.
I am honored to have had the chance to be a
GIU this year as well as participate in the Blog Hop.

I decided to make three cards using some of my recently received Unity Stamp Company Kits, and I hope you like what I made.

----------------------------------------------------

For my first card I decided to use the
One Crazy Bird Kit by Angie Blom found here:

  https://www.unitystampco.com/one-crazy-bird/

For my card I used the
"Giving It All Meaning" Background stamp
and stamped it on red cardstock with black ink.
This is one of my favorite background stamps from Unity.

I colored the bird in with my Zig Markers.

This background stamp can be found here and on sale:

https://www.unitystampco.com/giving-it-all-meaning/

-----------------------------------------

For my second card that I chose to make for the
Blog Hop I decided to use "Joy Girl" by Angie Blom.

For my "Joy Girl" card I decided to use the
snowflake stamps that came in the kit and stamped out a
small background around her.
I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock and
matted with black.
For "Joy" I decided to cut her out and color
her with my zig markers.
I wanted to personalize her top more so I wrote "Unity"
on it to the best of my ability to look like the wording on
my recent sweatshirt from Unity.

Joy Girl can be found here and on sale:

https://www.unitystampco.com/joy-girl/

-------------------------------------------------

And for my final card for this blog post I just had to use
one that makes me smile.

For this card I used "Christmas Brief" by Lisa Arana.

For the card base I used yellow cardstock and embossed it with
a star embossing folder I had to bring out the stars around
the sentiment.  I stamped out the underwear and colored them all up. After I cut out all three and placed onto the card.
Matted the sentiment to go in the middle of the card.

Here is the link for the "Christmas Brief" Stamp Set...on sale!.

https://www.unitystampco.com/christmas-brief/

-------------------------------------------

Okay....one more thing before I go....
Here are a few gift tags I made using Unity Stamp Company
Stamp Kits. I hope that these may inspire you.

For these three tags I used the following kits -

For The Santa:

Jolly Ol Santa by Angie Blom

https://www.unitystampco.com/jolly-ol-santa/

For The Snowman:

Special Winter Friends by Angie Blom

https://www.unitystampco.com/special-winter-friends/

and finally

The Penguin from the "Pain and Pride" by Tracey Malnofski

https://www.unitystampco.com/pain-and-pride/

I hope you enjoyed seeing all my Unity cards, and tags!.

Everything I used in the post is currently on sale - wahoo!!!.

Happy Stamping!!!.

Growing In Unity - Friday - August 24, 2018

Aimee's Stamping Adventures
Growing In Unity Week
Unity Stamp Company
August 24, 2018

-------------------------------------------------------------

Hello Everyone!.
Welcome to my last day as
Growing In Unity Girl :::sniff sniff:::.
This week has gone by too fast,
but I am overjoyed to have had the chance to
share some Unity goodness with you.

Please go check out each day of my blog posts
and comment for a chance to win
one of two Unity Stamp Company Grab Bags.
Psst...one can NEVER have TOO much Unity (smiling).

For my last day I decided to do a Christmas Blog Day.
With the help of Unity Stamp Company stamps you
are able to create many personalized things for using
during the holiday season.

I made some gift tags to use:

For these I used three of the Unity Stamp Kits and
stamped images onto a large manila tag.
I colored them up using colored pencils.

The kits that I used to make these tags were:

Jolly Ol' Santa
Special Winter Friends
&
Pain And Pride

The "To" and "From" were in a grab bag I got.

-----------------------------------------------

I then decided that I would make a few Christmas Cards
as I needed a starting place for myself anyway since
I make and donate Christmas Cards to military -
I have past few years.
This year I am also adding a few hospitals -
one military and one children's.
I figured that there will be those in need of some
smiles during the holidays who might be away from
family and friends.

Up first for my cards is the same Santa I used for the
Gift tag from the "Jolly Ol Santa" Kit by Angie Blom.
I colored him with Prismacolor pencils then I
outlined him with gray to make him stand out more
on the white cardstock.
For his beard and hat (white) I used white and a little gray
and kinda of smeared it together.
I used Glossy Accents on his glasses but it does not show up.

For my second Christmas card I chose to use the
stamp set called "Scarf In Winter" by
Tierra Jackson.
I love Giraffes so I had to get this set.
I colored up image and part of sentiment with colored pencils,
and matted onto black cardstock and green base.
I think it came out cute - especially with the
green and red scarf.

For my final card for today and the week (sniff sniff)
I used the same snowman that I used for the gift tag
from the "Special Winter Friends" stamp set.
I think he's adorable!. I collect snowmen and have a small
curio that I usually fill with them for the Winter season.

Please remember to go back each day and comment on my blog
for a chance to win one of two
Unity Stamp Company Grab Bags...
can NEVER have enough Unity (smiling).

I hope that you have enjoyed my week as
Growing In Unity Girl and that I inspired you.
I hope you have a great weekend!.

Thursday - Day 4 - August 23, 2018 - Growing In Unity Blog Post

Aimee's Stamping Adventures
Growing In Unity
Unity Stamp Company
Day 4 - August 23rd, 2018

Hello All!.
I can't believe that it is already Day 4
of my Growing In Unity Week.
I hope that you have enjoyed my week,
and that I have inspired you some how.

For today's blog post I decided to make a few
Men's cards using some of the amazing kits
carried by Unity Stamp Company.

For my first one I decided to combine two kits
to create my Beer Card.

I used the beer bottle from the
"A Round Of Cocktails" stamp kit
and the Mug from the Itty Bitty kit
"Keep Calm, Have A Beer.
For The background I used an embossing folder
to give the effect of wallpaper, and cut a
piece of cardstock to represent a bar top.
For both the mug and the bottle I used
Glossy Accents to give it a glass effect.
Hard to show up in pictures at times.

For my second card I made a card using
the "All Cylinders" Stamp Kit.

For this card I used a Kraft cardstock base.
I stamped image and sentiment on white cardstock
with black ink. I matted with black cardstock.
To color in the car I used my Zig Markers.

And for my final card for today
I used the stamp kit called "Vroom",
and the sentiment from the "For The Guys" stamp kit.
I love the "Vroom" stamp as its a great "go to" stamp.
It's great if you need a quick male card.

For this card I stamped the large background stamp
with black ink, and trimmed it down a little on all sides
to have a border around the entire card.
I mounted it onto dark blue cardstock.
I used the "Congratulations" sentiment
from the "For The Guys" Stamp Set.
I think this stamp set could be used for various reasons.

I hope that you have enjoyed todays blog post.
Remember to leave a comment on today's blog post
as well as one on the rest of the week for a
chance to win one of two Unity Stamp Company Grab Bags.

Thank you for your time.
Have a great day!!.
Happy Stamping.

Growing In Unity - Day 3 - August 22, 2018

Aimee's Stamping Adventures
Unity Stamp Company
Growing In Unity
Day 3 - August 22, 2018

Hello All!. I can't believe that half of my week as a
Growing In Unity Girl is over all ready.
I hope that you have been enjoying what I have made using
Unity Stamp Company stamps, and that maybe I
have inspired your creativity.

I was inspired to start a "Quotes Journal" recently.
I LOVE quotes and sayings, and after hearing about doing one
I thought it would be perfect for me.

I love doing cards, etc using stamps because it allows me
to show my own unique perspective.
We could have the same stamp set,
and create all totally different things.

I absolutely LOVE Sunflowers.
I loved them before I went to South Dakota back in 2015
but after I went there I found a place in my heart
that makes me smile seeing them.
For my first two pages in my Quotes Journal I chose to
use Sunflowers from Unity.

Here is my two pages:

I really enjoyed doing these two pages.
For the background I decided to use my
Tim Holtz Distress Crayons.
I was trying to make a sorta of plaid pattern using them.
I know its not perfect, but it is "colorful" - smiling.

For this page of my journal I used several Unity Stamp Kits.
I LOVE Angie Girls, and of course Rebecca Girl
just had to be used. I stamped her with Sunflower in Staz On ink
and colored her with my Distress Crayons and a few
Zig Colored Markers.

I decided to use the "Vintage Ledger" stamp and
distress the edges using "Vintage Photo".
I found a saying on the internet so I wrote it on the ledger.
Remember: Don't be afraid to use your own handwriting
for journaling. It makes it more personal that way.

For the caption on the top of the page I used
one of Unity's MANY Itty Bitty stamps.
PLEASE don't let the Itty Bitty name fool you!.
You can do so much with these stamps.
I used the sentiment from "Struggle & Strength", as
I believe this is a true statement indeed.

--------------------------------

I also used a second Sunflower Itty Bitty stamp
from Unity called "Turn Toward the Light".
Sunflowers indeed turn toward the light...
I smile whenever I see that saying.

The Sunflower image I took from a Sunflower that was
in the July 2017 - Kit Of The Month I saw that I loved.
We all need to "Believe". Believe things will get better,
Believe that we deserve to be happy...
Believe we have worth and deserve to be loved.

I used the Vintage Postcard stamp for this page of my
Quotes Journal. I used Distress Ink on the edges and a little
on the top of the Post card to make it look worn.
I found a Helen Keller quote I loved so it's now a "keeper".

I had so much fun starting this Quotes Journal
and look forward to adding more.
If you have a favorite quote for inspiration maybe you
can share it with me.
I deal with anxiety attacks, and love Sunflowers,  &Tulips.
Maybe your favorite quote will end up in my journal - smiling.

Have a great day and Happy Stamping!!.

Come back tomorrow and leave a comment,
or if you missed a previous day its not to late to go and comment.
Remember I will be picking two people who comment
to win a Unity Stamp Company Grab Bag of 25 stamps!!.
After all....who can NEVER have ENOUGH Unity (smiling).

Growing In Unity - August 21st - Day Two - Tuesday

Aimee's Stamping Adventures
Unity Stamp Company
Growing In Unity
Tuesday - August 21st - Day Two

=====================================

Hello again!. I am back with some more inspiration using Unity Stamp Company stamps.
For todays blog entry I decided to make a few
Encouragement Cards using some of my favorite kits.
I think we all can use some encouragement with things we are dealing with or going through.
It's nice to know that we are not alone.

For my First card I decided to use the image and a
sentiment from the "Jar Of Hope" kit.
I stamped the image onto watercolor paper using Staz-On Ink.
I then proceeded to use my Zig Markers and a water brush.
I love this way of water coloring and for me its relaxing.
I put some color on a piece of acetate and then picked it up using my water brush.  For the vase I used my Zig marker for the water and stems and then put a layer of
"Glossy Accents" on the vase to make it look like glass.
I love "Glossy Accents".

---------------------------------------

For my second card today I decided to use the
"Planted" kit by Unity.
This is one of my favorite kits!.
For this card I stamped the image and sentiment onto
watercolor paper and once again colored with my
Zig markers. This sentiment is awesome!!.
I used a little bit of distress ink on the edges of the
image and the sentiment.

--------------------------------------------

And for my final card today I chose
to make a card using the
"Never Easier, Just Better" Stamp Set.
I did use both the image and sentiment.
I stamped image and sentiment in green ink, and
matted with black cardstock.

--------------------------------------------------

I hope you enjoyed my second day as Growing In Unity Girl.
Come back each day this week.
Remember comment daily on my blog for a chance
to win one of two 25 stamp grab bags from Unity!.

Stamping hugs!.

Growing In Unity - August 20th - Day One

Aimee's Stamping Adventures
Unity Stamp Company
Growing In Unity

Monday - Day One
August 20th, 2018

Hello All and welcome to my week of Growing In Unity.
I hope that through my week I can inspire your creativity.
I wanted to start off the week by showing a few cards
that I made using a large background stamp.
Unity has LOTS of background stamps which
you can find here:
https://www.unitystampco.com/shop-all-products/background/

========================

The first one I wanted to show you was using
Unity Stamp Company's January 2018 Sentiment Kit
So Grateful & the Giving It All Meaning Kit.
I made this card for some friends who are getting married shortly and I look forward to celebrating with them.
I used a stencil for the vines/leaves.

The second card I wanted to share with you was my

Thinking of You Card.
For this card I used the "Obsessed With Floral"
background stamp and I used the sentiment from the
Special Wishes - December 2016 Sentiment Kit.
I decided to color just one flower to make it the
focal point of the card.

And my final card for todays blog post is a card using

the "Blossoming Beauty" kit.
I used one of the two flowers from this kit for the card.
For the white background I splattered distress ink.
I used the Vintage Ledger Stamp for
the main background of this card.
I colored the flowers with my Distress Crayons.

The "Make A Wish" sentiment came from

Gracielle Design - Happy Moments.

I hope you enjoyed my first day as Growing In Unity Girl.

Come back each day this week.
Remember comment daily on my blog for a chance
to win one of two 25 stamp grab bags from Unity!.

Stamping hugs!!.
